Information - Dressmaking Skills – Simple Trousers
A single day class for making basic trousers.
Will teach you how to make a pair of pyjama trousers. You will learn:
How to measure yourself and choose a pattern size
Tracing pattern pieces
Understanding pattern markings
Cutting your pattern pieces from your fashion fabric
Inserting side seam pockets
Making an elastic casing
Hemming and finishing your woven fabric
By the end of the class you should have a fully completed pair of simple trousers, and the confidence to make more when you return home.
Sewing machines, thread and notions will be included in the cost of the course, but students should bring their own fashion fabric to make the trousers from.
