Information - Constable 250 Adult Poetry Workshop: Capturing the Essence
On Saturday 11th April from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM join local poet Sue Wallace-Shaddad for a poetry workshop on the theme of portraits inspired by current exhibition ‘Constable: A Cast of Characters’.
Taking Constable’s portraits as a starting point, the group will discuss poems which respond to portraits. You will be invited to write about a portrait but will also create your own original portraits with words. Prompts for quick writing exercises will be provided, and you will have the opportunity (optional) to share your drafts with others.
This workshop is 3 hours long and includes a short break. Suitable for ages 18+.
