Information - Community Workshop aimed at D/deaf and hard of hearing people

To be held in-person at Ipswich Deaf Society, Suffolk House, 2 Wharfedale Road, Ipswich, IP1 4JP – Wednesday 12th February 10:30 – 12:30 – refreshments included from 10am

What will be discussed?

There are three ways the Government and health service want the way people receive healthcare to change in the future:

  • To deliver less care in hospitals and provide more services at home or close to where people live.
  • To deliver more care using technologies and digital services.
  • To find ways to prevent people from becoming unwell before they need services.

The workshops will explore these themes and gather local views on what is needed to support this change in the future.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
