We’re inviting families, curious explorers and budding treasure hunters to discover the maritime stories hidden around Ipswich in our Lost Cargo Hunt.
Begin at CLAY 1A and take a peek inside 1A Wherry Quay, the historic grain warehouse we’re transforming into a new cultural attraction. From there, head out along the trail through the surrounding area, visiting some of our neighbours and uncovering stories from Ipswich’s rich maritime past.
Complete the hunt and return to CLAY 1A, where there’ll be more activities and opportunities to discover what’s happening inside the building.
Bring your crew, follow the clues and see what you can uncover.
Lots of free family activities, prizes to be won in the prize draw and promotions with participating businesses (20% off at Isaacs if you present your map!). We will also be premiering some short films featuring Ipswich residents talking about their favourite ceramic object. So lots to come down for.
