Information - Buildings in the Ipswich Charter Hangings – Heritage Open Days
Discover some of the architecture featured in embroidered panels designed to illustrate the 1400-year history of Ipswich. At the end of the walk there will be a chance to view the eight hangings in St Peter’s Church.
The walk will begin at The Admiral’s House in Tower St and will explore some of the buildings shown in the Ipswich Charter Hangings, the buildings on Cornhill, the Willis building, St Nicholas Street, and St Peter’s Street. At the end of the walk there will be a chance to view the eight beautiful hangings which in the last 25 years have been much admired in Europe and USA.
