BTCP Presents: Sholto Live at The Church

Get ready for an unforgettable evening of music with multi-instrumentalist and producer Sholto, brought to you by Brighten The Corners (BTCP). Join us on Thursday, 26th February 2026 at The Church, Ipswich for a night of immersive, soulful sounds from 7:30pm to 11pm.

About Sholto

London-born Oscar ‘SHOLTO’ Robertson’s music career took off in 2013 when a record deal led him to Los Angeles, where he collaborated with noted producers like Nick Waterhouse (Allah-Las). Since returning to the UK, Sholto has worked with celebrated names such as Inflo (Cleo Sol) and Dan Carey. He is also one half of the innovative production and studio duo SFJ, having recorded, produced, and mixed for artists including Miles Kane, Katy J Pearson, Wet Leg, Spiritualized, Tess Parks, and many more.

Sholto has earned a reputation as a talented session drummer across various genres, collaborating with Confidence Man, Nick Waterhouse, Yak, Sinead O’Brien, Geowulf, and recently Baxter Dury. He’s supported acts like Sven Wunder, Derya Yildrim, WITCH, and Dina Ogon and even performed a heartfelt tribute to David Axelrod at London’s iconic Jazz Cafe.

Musical Style

Sholto’s writing is deeply inspired by soundtrack composers of the 1950s through the 1970s. He shares the stage alongside soulful widescreen soundtrack contemporaries like The Cinematic Orchestra, Robohands, and The Ironsides. In 2023, his album The Changing Tides Of Dreams introduced fans to his unique fusion of psychedelic-infused, hazy arrangements, blending elements from film scores, classical music, jazz, and experimental techniques.

Prepare to be drawn into a warm world of analogue textures, lush grooves, and euphoric instrumental soundscapes that promise an inviting and immersive musical experience.
