Dutch psych-groove meets cinematic funk
Brighten the Corners Presents brings Cavolo Nero to The Church. The Dutch band blend exotic rhythms with modern club influences and psychedelia, pulling on funk, disco and afrobeat to build something built for dancing.
Support comes from UK duo Pleasurewood, whose cinematic funk draws on vintage Hindi cinema soundtracks, 1960s–70s European sounds and 1970s–80s Mumbai synth work, played on an eclectic pile of vintage instruments.
