Information - Britannia Sewing Machine Class

Going beyond the basics taught in Beginners Sewing, we will be learning more about some of the more advanced stitches and techniques that you can achieve with your Britannia sewing machine.

We will explore:

  • Installing a zipper
  • Sewing a buttonhole
  • Sewing on a button
  • Finishing a woven fabric with an overcast stitch
  • Making a blind hem
  • Using a walking foot
  • Exploring free motion embroidery

We will also talk about how to care for your machine, discussing sewing machine needles and how/why to change them, along with picking the right needle and foot for different fabrics.

Supplied: Scissors, Pins, Tape Measures, Tea and Coffee.

Required: Your Machine, machine manual, machine accessories included when purchased, Lunch
