Information - Beyond the Bassline Dance Workshops

Join Martell Richards, friendly dance instructor, to explore the music from Beyond the Bassline!

Together with Martell, you’ll listen to music from Suffolk Libraries’ Beyond the Bassline exhibition, celebrating 500 years of Black British music. Using this as your inspiration, Martell will teach you some different dance moves and explore ways to move your body.

It’s going to be high energy so make sure you bring your water bottle and get ready for some fun! You don’t need to have any previous dance experience. You can check out Martell’s dance moves via his Instagram and Facebook pages.

Workshops take place on Saturday 16 November, starting at 1PM, 2.30PM and 4PM. Workshops will last 50 minutes.

These workshops are free to attend but booking is required. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Suitable for ages 7+.

You can find out more about Beyond the Bassline on the Suffolk Libraries’ website. The exhibition is on display until the end of October.
