Information - “Be Ye Men of Valour”

“Be Ye Men of Valour”

This year marks the 80th Anniversary of the Fall of Berlin, Nazi Germany, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and the Fall of the Japanese Empire.

Over 600 Ipswich men and women died serving in the fight for our freedom.

The Ipswich War Memorial Project, following ten years of research, has brought together research for the 80th Anniversary, which includes over 350 portraits, family photographs and information on the lives of these brave men and women.

Thanks to the kindness of Reverend Sarah Geileskey, the “Be Ye Men of Valour” exhibition will be open to the public from Saturday, 9th August, to Monday, 25th August 2025 (10:00hrs – 16:00hrs, Monday to Saturday, 12:30hrs – 16:00hrs Sunday).
