Come and peek behind the curtain at the New Wolsey Theatre! Discover how on stage magic is made with backstage tours, dive into our vibrant history and get creative with family activities for all ages.
Journey around the theatre and immerse yourself in the backstage secrets with our free tours. You can gain exclusive insights into how our fabulous productions develop from basic concepts into the dazzling performances you see on stage. Tours are free but pre-booking is advised. Remaining spaces will be open to walk ups on the day.
Learn more about our vibrant history, explore shows of years gone by and how our famous Rock & Roll pantomimes, now in their 25th year, became an Ipswich family tradition! Come see how shows are designed and how we turn drawings on paper into beautiful costumes and sets on our stage!
You’ll also get the chance to find out more about the extensive programme of additional work we do in the community and we’ll have a family friendly space with arts & crafts for the kids to enjoy!
