Information - An Audience with Aggers and Tuffers

Calling all cricket fans in Ipswich! We are absolutely bowled over to announce that two of the biggest names in the sport are heading to the Regent Theatre for a night you won’t want to miss. Whether you’re a lifelong follower of the game or just love a good story, “An Audience with Aggers and Tufnell” is set to be one of the highlights of 2027.

Meet the Legends

First up is the iconic Jonathan “Aggers” Agnew. As the beloved voice of BBC’s Test Match Special for over three decades, Aggers has seen it all. Known for his sharp wit and impeccable storytelling, he’ll be sharing those famous insider anecdotes that have made him a national treasure in the commentary box.

Joining him is the one and only Phil “Tuffers” Tufnell. The former England spin bowler and “King of the Jungle” is easily one of British sport’s greatest characters. From his maverick playing days to his hilarious transition into a media superstar, Tuffers is guaranteed to have you in stitches with his outrageous tales.

What’s in Store?

The duo will be taking a deep dive into the world of English cricket, reflecting on the highs, the lows, and the sheer drama of the T20 World Cup. They’ll be dissecting everything from the “Bazball” era under Stokes and McCullum to what the future holds for the national side during their home tests against New Zealand, India, and Pakistan.

No stone will be left unturned, and no question is off-limits! From the pristine grass of Lord’s to the heat of the I’m A Celeb jungle, this is a rare chance to hear the behind-the-scenes truth from the men who were right in the thick of it.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
