Information - AFTERDRIVE

We are absolutely thrilled to bring you some massive news for the local music scene! The sensational four-piece band AFTERDRIVE is making a triumphant return to Ipswich for a very special hometown gig at The Baths.

If you haven’t heard the buzz yet, AFTERDRIVE are making serious waves in the music industry right now. Known for putting on an absolute powerhouse of a live show, this is one night you definitely don’t want to miss!

A Sound That’s Fresh, Bold, and Unmissable

AFTERDRIVE are a band on a meteoric rise. They’ve locked into a unique sound that feels both excitingly fresh and beautifully familiar. Moving way beyond your standard guitar band setup, they layer lush, contemporary synths and electronic beats beneath the effortlessly cool vocal delivery of frontman Ben Watts.

It has already been an incredibly busy time for the boys. They recently joined US superstar Maggie Lindemann on her UK and European tour, and they are gearing up to release their highly anticipated debut EP very soon.

From Portman Road to BBC Radio 1

Local music fans might remember the band’s massive moment last year when they supported global megastar Ed Sheeran at his legendary Portman Road stadium show, performing to over 20,000 screaming fans right here in their hometown!

The industry is taking note, too. They’ve been receiving heavy love from BBC Radio 1, with presenters Jess Iszatt and Alyx Holcombe spinning their tracks on repeat. Alyx Holcombe couldn’t hold back her excitement, sharing: “A band who is brand new to the show and I don’t think I’ve ever fallen in love with a band as quick as this to be honest. Kinda giving me the Weeknd fused with the 1975 vibes.”

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees.
