Pianist, composer, and Artistic Director at Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club, James Pearson brings to life the incredible music and stories behind the evolution of jazz piano – from Ragtime to Stride, Boogie Woogie to Big Band, and much more.
James and his trio of world-class musicians take us on a whistle-stop tour through a century of jazz piano greats. Featuring a sparkling collection of numbers celebrating the music from the likes of Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Waller, Art Tatum, George Shearing, Dave Brubeck, Oscar Peterson and many more – this is a show full of anecdotes, wit, and virtuosic piano playing.
