It’s that time of year again when we start dusting off our running shoes and rallying our colleagues. We are absolutely thrilled to share the news that the Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon Corporate Challenge is making a grand return for 2026!
Organised by Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All, this fantastic event is calling on local businesses and organisations to step up, get active, and enjoy a healthy dose of friendly rivalry. Taking place on Sunday 27th September 2026, the Corporate Challenge runs right alongside the main half marathon, providing the perfect opportunity to boost staff wellbeing and team morale.
Team Up for a Great Cause
Teams of four or more will race not as individuals, but collectively to achieve the fastest combined time and be crowned the 2026 Corporate Challenge Champions! Open to organisations of all sizes and abilities, entrants will also enjoy a range of exclusive perks, including race day kit, bespoke team t-shirts, and prizes for the winning teams.
As always, community is at the heart of this event. Participants are encouraged to raise funds for a charity of their choice or support one of the brilliant partner charities. This year’s amazing charity partners include Ormiston Families, the Ipswich Town Foundation, Autism Anglia, Suffolk Mind, RSPCA Suffolk, and the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.
A Beautiful Ipswich Route
Runners will once again take on the incredibly popular route starting and finishing at Portman Road Stadium, the proud home of Ipswich Town Football Club. The scenic course guides participants through many of our town’s finest landmarks, including the vibrant Ipswich Waterfront, the beautiful Holywells Park, and alongside the River Orwell.
Ian Fitch, a partner at Ipswich-based accountants and business advisors Larking Gowen, shared his excitement: “We are incredibly proud to support one of the biggest community events in our town. While the promotion of health and wellness is a key focus of any marathon, this event is also about fostering community spirit. It provides opportunities for the community to volunteer, money is raised for so many fantastic local causes, and it brings people together as enthusiastic supporters along the sidelines—a vital boost for any runner!”
Get Involved
Siobhan Curtis, Marketing and Communications Director at Run For All, added: “We are delighted to be bringing back the Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon Corporate Challenge this year, following its successful launch in 2024. This challenge provides the perfect opportunity for businesses to come together for some friendly competition while promoting the benefits of fitness and an active lifestyle.”
The event is brilliantly supported by a host of local sponsors alongside Larking Gowen, including Ipswich Borough Council, BBC Radio Suffolk, Ipswich Town Football Club, Ipswich Fit, Ipswich JAFFA Running Club, Arla Protein, and COOPAH.
