Information - Youth Voice Matters

Youth Voice Matters. Maple Together Edition.

We have a few space left on this innovative 6 week community journalism programme empowering young people from diverse backgrounds across Ipswich.

Youth Voice Matters tackles the underrepresentation of youth voices in local media. Participants build storytelling confidence and develop professional journalism skills through hands on workshops, field experiences, mentorship and article publication on ipswich.co.uk.

Sessions run every Friday, 2–4pm, until 27th Mar at ICM Media Lab, South Street and the Ipswich.co.uk newsroom, Upper Brook Street.

If you’re aged 16–25, or know someone who is, we’d love to hear from you.

Email bmiller@ipswichcm.org.uk to sign up or share this opportunity with a young person who wants to inquire, interview and influence their community.

Make a difference to your town.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
