Information - Words & Verses

Ipswich’s longest running (est.2012) and only dedicated spoken word open mic. Held on the first Thursday of the month at The Steamboat, 7-10pm, free entry. Join us for an evening of wordy nerdy fun, featuring everything from poetry, to rap, comedy and storytelling: All words welcome. Bring something you’ve written yourself, or bring a favourite poem to share, originals and covers equally welcome. 5-10mins each, sign-up on the day, or email in advance to book a slot: amy@getonthesoapbox.co.uk 18+. Adult language and content.
