Information - Words & Verses – October 2026
Words & Verses returns to the New Wolsey Theatre on Monday 5 October for another evening of open mic spoken word, now in its 14th year.
What to expect
It’s a friendly, authentic and welcoming event for writers and performers to share their work, often for the first time. You can put your name down to perform or simply come along and listen – expect poetry, rap, comedy and storytelling across the night.
The evening is hosted by poet Amy Wragg, with breaks between performer sets. Latecomers are welcome.
