Information - Weave a Landscape

Join us on Tuesday 26 May to create your own mini landscape wall hanging as a part of our Textile Discovery Day. Take inspiration from John Constable’s wonderful landscape paintings with this eco-friendly textile activity, which uses a simple handmade cardboard loom and fabric scraps to help you craft your very own piece of art. Sessions are 45 minutes long and start at 10:15 AM, 11:15 AM, 1 PM, and 2 PM.

All materials will be provided, along with full guidance. This activity is suitable for ages 6+. Please note that some children may need help from an adult, as the activity requires manual dexterity. Under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or carer at all times, but only those participating need to buy a ticket.

It will be held in the Estate Office, located on the ground floor. For helpful details about how to find us and the facilities available at Christchurch Mansion, we recommend reading our Access information: Access at Christchurch Mansion

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
