Information - Vinyl Communion: Soundwax

Get ready to transport your soul to warmer climes with an evening of incredible global rhythms right here in Ipswich! As the summer wind-down begins, we are thrilled to invite you to The Church for a very special edition of Vinyl Communion, featuring the sensational sounds of Soundwax.

Whether you want to shake off the mid-week dust or just enjoy a superb drink in a beautiful setting, this is the place to be. Soundwax will be taking over the decks, spinning an eclectic, soul-cleansing vinyl set of Brazilian and Latin world music, deep Afro-house, and smooth jazz. It’s the ultimate sunshine soundtrack to ease you into the weekend.

Sensational Sounds, Cocktails & Nibbles

While Soundwax provides the perfect musical backdrop, the wonderful team at The Church will be serving up their signature cocktails, ice-cold beers, and delicious nibbles to keep the good vibes flowing all night long.

Why not make an afternoon of it? The Church Cafe/Bar opens its doors from 12:00 PM, so you can pop in early for a bite to eat, catch up with friends, and secure the best spot in the house before the DJ set kicks off at 7:00 PM.

Best of all, there is absolutely free entry all evening! Hallelujah to that!

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
