About The Wedding Present

The Wedding Present have enjoyed a remarkable career, boasting eighteen UK Top 40 hit singles. Since their inception in 1985, they’ve famously gone against the grain of the music industry. It all began when frontman David Lewis Gedge took a trip on a National Express coach from London, carrying 500 records in his mother’s suitcases to a distribution company in Yorkshire. This pioneering DIY spirit has stayed with them ever since.

From their critically acclaimed debut album George Best — hailed as “an unmitigated delight” by NME — through to their independent releases on their own Reception Records label, the band continues to produce unique and captivating music that has earned them a devoted fanbase.

Accessibility

The Baths venue is fully accessible with a ramp entrance and all facilities, including the bar and accessible toilets, on one level. If you have any specific accessibility needs or require further assistance to make your visit as enjoyable as possible, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the venue team.
