Information - The Sutton Hoo Ship – Rebuilding the Legend

Join us for a fascinating evening with David Pryor, Volunteer Crew at The Sutton Hoo Ship’s Company, as he presents:

‘The Sutton Hoo Ship – Rebuilding the Legend’
Discover the remarkable story behind the reconstruction of the iconic Anglo-Saxon ship buried at Sutton Hoo. This illustrated talk follows the Sutton Hoo Ship’s Company’s ambitious experimental archaeology project to build a full-size replica using the tools and techniques of around 600 AD. A fascinating journey into craftsmanship, history, and what rebuilding the ship can reveal about early seafaring and Anglo-Saxon life.
