Information - The Skabratts

Get Ready to Dance: The Skabratts are Coming to Ipswich!

Dust off your dancing shoes and get ready for an unforgettable night of high-energy music! We are absolutely thrilled to welcome The Skabratts to The Smokehouse in Ipswich. This incredible seven-piece band from London is bringing the unmistakable, infectious sounds of 1960s Jamaica right to our doorstep.

If you love authentic ska, rocksteady, and boss reggae, this is the gig for you. The Skabratts pay brilliant homage to the timeless music of legendary labels like Studio One, Treasure Isle, and Trojan Records. They deliver every single beat with passion, style, and a deep respect for the genre’s roots. You won’t be able to stand still!

“Sheer Sunshine” on the Live Circuit

The Skabratts have been making massive waves on the live music scene, sharing stages with ska royalty like The Beat, The Selecter, The Dualers, The Slackers, and Death of Guitar Pop.

They’ve earned glowing praise wherever they go. Coventry’s March of the Mods described their sound as “pure authentic ska,” while Garry Bushell of The Mirror famously called their performance “sheer sunshine.” It’s the perfect antidote to a chilly spring evening!
