Information - The Ipswich Hansa exhibition
The Ipswich Hansa Group was set up last September to promote the Town’s history as an important Hanseatic port during the 14th and 15th centuries. Ipswich was a Headport, with a trade rivalling that of London in exporting wool and woollen cloth to northern Europe.
The first project has been to produce a display about the Hansa in Ipswich. The display is in the Town Hall, to the right from the entrance.
