Information - The Baths Regeneration Community Conversation

Hey Ipswich! Get ready to dive into an exciting conversation about the future of one of our beloved local landmarks.

Our friends at Brighten The Corners are inviting you to a special community event to unveil ambitious plans for a transformative regeneration project at The Baths. This is your chance to hear all about how this iconic space is set to become a cutting-edge Creative Digital Skills Lab right here in Ipswich!

What’s Happening at The Baths?

Prepare to be amazed! A fantastic £1.92 million regeneration project is on its way, promising to revitalise The Baths and turn it into a vibrant hub for creativity and digital innovation. This new lab will be a fantastic resource for our region, fostering new skills and opportunities for everyone.

Join the Conversation!

This isn’t just a presentation; it’s a community conversation! Brighten The Corners is keen to gather your valuable thoughts and ideas right from the start. Your input will help shape the pilot projects and ensure The Baths truly serves the needs of our local community.

The evening will be hosted by Marcus Harris-Noble, their newly appointed Director of Engagement and Skills. Marcus has an impressive track record, having previously launched the successful Croydon Creative Digital Lab. He’s passionate about building a similarly dynamic hub here in Ipswich and can’t wait to share his vision with you!

Your Ideas Matter – Let’s Discuss:

Discussions will revolve around these key questions, and we’d love to hear your perspective:

  • How do you envision yourself using the space in the future? (Perhaps as a local business, community group, creative entrepreneur, freelancer, or artist?)
  • What kinds of projects, activities, or workshops do you think would thrive at The Baths?
  • Are there other local groups or organisations you believe would benefit greatly from using this fantastic space?

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
