Information - Suffolk Women’s History Group Launch Event

Come and join the official launch of the Suffolk Women’s History Group!

During the launch event we will be discussing the aims of the group, our progress so far, and our plans for the future.

There will be an introduction to the work that takes place at Suffolk Archives alongside a small showcase of women’s diaries stored in the archives with Bridget Hanley, Senior Archivist! We will discuss these objects and how they can be used in researching women’s history and uplifting the voices of ordinary women that have been lost to time.

For those attending there will also be an exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ tour of the archives.

But most importantly we want to hear from YOU! Your ideas for celebrating and recording local women’s history!

Refreshments will be provided
