Information - PICANTE

Looking for a night filled with high-octane energy and nostalgic beats? Boosi Promotions is bringing something truly special to Ipswich this March. Get ready for PICANTE, an immersive experience designed to transport you back to the golden era of Hardhouse.

Hosted at the iconic Smokehouse, this event is all about raw energy, bouncy bass lines, and that unmistakable community spirit that makes the dance scene so vibrant. Whether you were there in the 90s or you’re discovering the sound for the first time, this is a night you won’t want to miss.

An Incredible Line-up of Local Talent

The night features a fantastic mix of veteran DJs who helped shape the local scene and exciting new talent keeping the fire burning:

  • KCN: A true legend behind the decks since the 90s. As a former resident at Ipswich’s own Distinction nightclub, KCN brings decades of passion to his sets. He was even a runner-up in Channel 4’s nationwide Best Amateur DJ competition, judged by the legendary Judge Jules!
  • JOHNNY G: Another veteran of the 90s scene, Johnny G was a key part of the ‘Essence’ crew at the Attic nightclub here in Ipswich. Expect unstoppable energy from start to finish.
  • ONIT: Bringing a fresh perspective to the dance floor, Onit has DJing in his DNA, having grown up inspired by his DJ parents.
  • EIGHTY HD: A lifelong devotee of dance music, Eighty HD lives and breathes Hardhouse.
  • SPUD: Proving that talent has no age limit, 14-year-old Spud is the youngest member of the team. He’s a natural talent who has taken to mixing like a duck to water.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
