About the broadcast

National Theatre Live presents The Misanthrope, with award-winner Sandra Oh in the title role of this razor-sharp reimagining of Molière’s classic dark comedy, directed by Indhu Rubasingham.

A novelist who values truth confronts societal backlash when challenging the constructed falsehoods around her. This is a staged performance filmed at the National Theatre.
