Information - Menopause – Real Lives, Clinical Care
Menopause can be isolating. Not because it’s rare — but because so few people talk about it honestly.
If you’re lying awake at 3am wondering whether what you’re feeling is menopause, hormones, or just “getting older” — you’re not alone, even if it feels that way.
That’s exactly why Let’s Talk Women’s Health is opening up that conversation.
Join us for a one-of-a-kind event where you’ll hear directly from clinical experts and lived-experience speakers about the realities of perimenopause and menopause — from hormones and HRT to neurodiversity, POI (early menopause), and alternative therapies.
Leading the evening is Dr Julie Kite, a Suffolk GP and British Menopause Society-registered menopause specialist, who left general practice in 2023 to focus on menopause care after navigating the perimenopause herself. She’s joined by Mel Dickinson, founder of the Menopause Vitamin Company, sharing her research into nutritional support for menopause, and Jen Evans, a Menopause Advisor whose own experience of forgetting basic things at work led her to challenge a system that wasn’t taking her symptoms seriously.
By the end of the evening, you’ll leave with:
- A clearer understanding of what’s actually happening in your body — and the language to talk about it
- Practical, evidence-based strategies for managing symptoms
- The confidence to ask better questions of your GP or healthcare provider
- A room full of people who get it — because you shouldn’t have to figure this out on your own
Whether you’re navigating your own menopause, wondering if you might be, or want to better support someone who is, this evening is for you.
This event is open to all.
A light buffet and refreshments will be provided on the night.
We look forward to seeing you there!
