Information - Mate, it’s just a Pub Quiz

Looking for a way to sharpen your wits and have a laugh in the middle of the week? We’ve got just the thing! A brand-new pub quiz is coming to The Church in Ipswich, and it’s shaping up to be a fantastic night out with friends.

Put Your Thinking Caps On

The quiz is aptly titled “Mate, it’s just a Pub Quiz”—so while the competition might get a little sporty, the focus is firmly on having a great time. Whether you are a trivia master or just in it for the atmosphere, everyone is welcome!

Gather your smartest (or funniest) friends and form a team. They are looking for groups of 4 to 6 players. It’s just £3 per person to play, which you can pay simply on the night when you arrive.

Timings for the Night

The evening kicks off well before the first question is asked, giving you plenty of time to grab a drink and settle in:

  • Doors Open: 6:00 PM
  • Quiz Starts: 7:30 PM
  • Event Ends: Approx. 10:00 PM

How to Secure Your Spot

To make sure you have a table for your team, you’ll need to book in advance. When booking, be sure to let the organisers know how many people will be on your table so they can get everything ready for you. You can find booking details and contact information on the venue’s official website or social media pages.

Accessibility at The Church

The Church is committed to being a welcoming space for everyone. The venue features step-free access, and the bar, main area, and accessible toilets are all located on a single floor. If you have specific requirements to make your visit more comfortable, please do reach out to the organisers ahead of time.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
