Midweek Fun at The Church: Mate, it’s just a Pub Quiz

Wednesdays in Ipswich are about to get a whole lot more interesting! If you’re looking for a way to break up the work week without any of the high-pressure stress of a serious competition, then we have the perfect night for you. Come down to The Church for “Mate, it’s just a Pub Quiz.”

As the name suggests, this is all about having a laugh, enjoying the unique atmosphere of the venue, and maybe showing off a little bit of that random knowledge you’ve been storing up. Whether you’re a trivia pro or just there for the social vibes, everyone is welcome!

Gather Your Team

It’s time to assemble your squad. Here is everything you need to know to get involved:

  • Teams: Grab a group of 4 to 6 people.
  • Price: It’s just £3 per person, which you can pay simply on the night.
  • Booking: Space is limited in this popular venue, so we highly recommend booking a table in advance. To secure your spot, please get in touch with the team at Brighten The Corners via their website or social media to let them know how many people will be joining your table.

When and Where

The bar will be open well before the quiz starts, giving you plenty of time to grab a drink, some nibbles, and the best seat in the house.

  • Date: Wednesday 20 May 2026
  • Doors Open: 6:00pm
  • Quiz Starts: 7:30pm
  • Venue: The Church, Ipswich

Accessibility at The Church

The Church is a welcoming space for everyone. The venue offers full step-free access from the street, and once you’re inside, you’ll find that the bar, the main seating area, and the accessible toilets are all conveniently located on a single level. If you have any specific needs or would like to arrange assistance for your visit, feel free to reach out to the organisers ahead of time.

So, do you know your 90s hits from your historical facts? There’s only one way to find out! We’ll see you at The Church for a brilliant night of quizzing.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
