Information - Marlin’s Mission
Join us on Wednesday 5th November, 7:30–9:00 pm, at Museum Street Methodist Church for “Marlin’s Mission” with Dave Selby — writer, sailor, and self-styled “budget boating guru.”
Dave will share the story of his 340-mile adventure in Marlin, an 18ft Sailfish, from the Thames to the Southampton Boat Show — proving (well, almost!) that sailing doesn’t have to cost the earth. Along the way he’ll reflect on how overcoming Guillain-Barré Syndrome inspired one of his richest adventures.
Dave will also be signing copies of his book ‘The Impractical Boat Owner’ — a hilarious and heartfelt take on “the yachting condition.”
