About the film
On the distant planet Ygam, enslaved humans — Oms — serve as playthings for the giant blue Draags. After a pet human named Terr escapes, he joins radical Oms resisting their oppression. René Laloux’s 1973 animation combines surreal cutout animation with a psychedelic score in a perennially compelling statement against conformity and violence.
