Information - SNAIL: Sports Nostalgia at Ipswich Library

Join us every Tuesday for our SNAIL group! (Formerly called Sporting Memories).

This group particularly welcomes older members whose fastest days are behind them. It’s brains not brawn! At the Tuesday meetings, or ‘snail walks’ as they could be called, sports fans gather to review current sporting events and results, reminisce about former contests, test their knowledge in light-hearted quizzes and occasionally listen to guest speakers. Anything sporty is on the agenda in a good-natured, friendly environment.

It is free to attend the meetings and refreshments are £1.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
