Information - Ipswich and Suffolk Club Networking – Paul Ager

Overview
Ipswich Suffolk Business Club is delighted to invite members and their guests to an evening with Paul Ager, Divisional Port Manager at Associated British Ports (ABP), at the historic Old Custom House.

Paul joined ABP in June 2016 and brings over 14 years of senior leadership experience across logistics, supply chain, and the construction sector. Throughout his career, he has held a number of regional operational leadership roles, leading cross-functional teams to deliver high levels of customer service across the UK.

Born and bred in Suffolk, Paul has a strong personal connection to the local area and to Ipswich in particular and is also a keen ITFC supporter. In addition to his role at ABP, Paul is an active board member of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, the Suffolk Business Board, and the Ipswich Central Board, contributing to the strategic development of the region.

During this discussion, Paul will:

Explore the vital role UK ports play in the national economy
Provide an overview of ABP, the UK’s largest port operator
Focus specifically on Ipswich Port, Ipswich Beacon Marina, and the continued development of Ipswich Waterfront
Share insight into ABP’s proposals for the Waterfront, helping to provide clarity on future plans and address some of the speculation currently circulating
This promises to be an insightful and timely evening for members with an interest in infrastructure, trade, regional growth, and the future of Ipswich’s Waterfront.

This event is part of your ISBC membership, with no additional charge. Members are welcome to bring guests. Drinks and canapés will be served.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
