Information - Ipswich 100: Sonic Stories Creative Workshop

To celebrate the 100th birthday of Ipswich County Library, join artist Natalie Whiney to explore creative technologies and bring history to life!

You’re invited to create a response to the Ipswich 100 exhibition using a range of collage and conductive materials such as card, fabric, foil and play-doh, and make their creations interactive with sounds using controllers such as the Bare Conductive Touch Board and Makey Makey.

Natalie Whiney is an audio-visual participatory artist working with creative technologies to construct interactive, sensory objects and spaces that invite curiosity and play. Natalie believes play and co-creative spaces are incredibly important and that creative technologies are powerful tools for inquiry, learning and collaboration. Previously having worked for Collusion, Natalie is currently an Associate Artist of Magic Acorns and co-produces the art platform Young Artists in Suffolk, focusing on facilitating accessible creative space and supporting communities of emerging artists.

Suitable for adults and young people 12+, younger children are welcome if they are accompanied by adults.
