Information - Invoking the Divine Trans Feminine

Artist and poet Ellena Woolf describes herself as ‘a mud-born mermaid from Essex’. Drawing on her experience as a queer and disabled woman, she tells empowering and uplifting stories about making yourself in your own image. Her recent project Voice Notes To My Child Self created an archive of messages and advice from people across East Anglia using a ‘time-travelling recording booth’.

Ellena’s event at the Think Tank will be an intimate evening of poetry and discussion about mythology and metamorphosis. Join us for an informal gathering and preview of her forthcoming project Divine Trans Feminine.

Think Tank Live events start with a performance or presentation from our featured artist, followed by a Q&A session hosted by our Artistic Director, Robin Deacon. Stick around afterwards for drinks and chat.

Ellena Woolf is a community artist based in East Anglia. Through poetry, printmaking and soft sculpture, her work seeks to empower and uplift audiences – telling unique stories with universal appeal.
