Information - In The End We Begin | Host

Home from Home emerged from HOST 2022. The project brought together dancers from EncoreEast (Ipswich), Cadenza (Norwich), Damn Fine Dance (London), and The Place (London). In the End we Begin is the work made by Home from Home’s Artistic Director, Luca Silvestrini, embracing individual works by Alethia Antonia, Laura Anderson, Alleyne Dance, Molly Wright and Luke Birch. It premiered at DanceEast and toured to Norwich Playhouse and The Place in London in October 2023.

In the End we Begin has been re-visited and reworked choreographically especially for HOST 2024, and the cast includes many of the original dancers and some new ones. It embraces quiet, intimate moments, gentle humour and fast-paced celebration, reflecting the diverse emotions we experience through the cycles of life.

Home from Home is devised and produced by EncoreEast. It is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, and co-commissioned by EncoreEast, DanceEast, The Place and Norwich Theatre.
