Ipswich Borough Council is planting 1,250 new trees across the town to mark Ipswich Loves Trees Week (14 to 20 February 2026). The annual initiative celebrates the vital role trees play in the town’s landscape, wildlife habitats and overall wellbeing.
Ipswich has completed the first stage of its bid to become the UK City of Culture 2029, submitting its Expression of Interest to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). The Town waits to hear if succesful in passing the the next stage. Residents are ask to continue to sign the pledge at www.ipswich2029.com to show breadth and depth of support
