Information - Girl Like That / Read The Room
Following the incredible success of last year’s debut, JMT Live is back with ‘Where Are My Girls?’ 2! This special event is a vibrant celebration of women and LGBTQ+ artists within the alternative music scene, and we couldn’t be more excited to host it right here in Ipswich.
If you love discovering fresh, meaningful music and supporting a more inclusive music scene, this is the night for you. Get ready for a lineup that packs a punch and showcases some of the most exciting talent in the UK right now.
Headliner: Girl Like That
Leading the night are the sensational Girl Like That, an alt-pop trio hailing from Oxford. It’s hard to believe this band only formed in 2024 given their massive list of achievements! Led by the talented Lucy Peer, they’ve already released a 12-track debut album, received airplay on BBC Radio 1, and delivered two standout performances at Truck Festival.
Bringing their infectious energy and polished alt-pop sound to The Smokehouse, they are definitely a band on the upward trajectory. This is a fantastic chance to see them in an intimate setting!
Support: Read The Room
Kicking things off are our neighbours from Norwich, Read The Room. This 5-piece alt-rock outfit is well-known across East Anglia for their ability to truly captivate an audience. With a reputation for powerful live sets and a sound that demands attention, they are the perfect addition to this celebration of alternative music.
