Information - George Frost Workshop

George Frost (1744/5-1821), was a prolific artist who documented Ipswich life and was a collector of Thomas Gainsborough’s artwork as well as being a mentor to the young John Constable.  Following the unveiling of an Ipswich Society Blue Plaque commemorating Frost on Ipswich Waterfront in November, Emma Roodhouse, Collections & Learning Curator (Art) kindly offered to lead a workshop. There will be the opportunity to have a close view of some of his art works and the albums themselves, and discuss and share information about the locations in the sketches.

This a joint Friends of Ipswich Museums/Ipswich Society event
