Domination – The Fall And Rise Of An Empire with Alice Roberts

Join renowned Professor Alice Roberts for an illuminating journey into history with her new book, Domination. Discover who spread Christianity, how, and why, as she unravels the story of the fall of one empire and the rise of another.

About the Event

Celebrate the publication of Domination with an engaging talk that takes you from a secluded valley in South Wales to the windswept shores of Brittany; from the heart of the Roman Empire during turbulent political times to the ancient city of Corinth following the footsteps of the apostle Paul. Travel further to Alexandria in the fourth century and then to Constantinople.

As the Roman Empire collapsed in Western Europe, a lingering shadow of its power remained—spreading over territories that were fading away. Drawing on archaeological clues and challenging long-held beliefs, Professor Roberts shares a fascinating story about the intertwined history of the Roman Empire and Christianity.

This event promises to lift the veil on secrets hidden in plain sight, revealing a tale that is nothing short of astonishing. Domination is a gripping exploration of power and survival—and now you have the chance to hear directly from the author herself.
