Information - Creative Connections

Are you a local creative, artist, or someone working in the vibrant culture sector here in Ipswich? We’ve got just the thing for you! Creative Connections is our brand-new monthly DIY get-together designed to bring our community closer together.

Whether you’re looking to network, want a friendly space to chat about your latest big idea, or simply want to meet like-minded people in a relaxed environment, this is the place to be. It’s all about coming together, connecting, and creating—with the added bonus of a Happy Hour at the bar!

What to Expect

This isn’t a formal, suit-and-tie networking event. Think of it as an informal social hub for the town’s creative energy. You can showcase your work, find potential collaborators, or just soak up the inspiration.

Our very first session will be led by Marcus Harris-Noble from the Brighten The Corners team. It’s going to be a very laid-back afternoon, perfect for getting to know the faces behind the local arts scene. If you have work you’d like to talk about or showcase in future sessions, come along and have a chat with the organisers on the night!

Stick Around for the Music

The fun doesn’t have to stop when the clock strikes seven. After the creative catch-up, Modern Athletics will be taking over for that week’s Vinyl Communion. Get ready for a smooth transition into the evening with a curated selection of electronic, house, garage, and bass music spinning on the decks.

Event Details

  • Date: Thursday 26th March 2026
  • Time: 5:00pm – 7:00pm (followed by Vinyl Communion)
  • Venue: The Church, Ipswich
  • The Vibe: Informal, friendly, and collaborative

Accessibility at The Church

We want our creative community to be as inclusive as possible. The Church is fully accessible with step-free access into the building. The bar, performance area, and accessible toilets are all located on the same floor, ensuring a comfortable experience for everyone. If you have any specific questions regarding access, please get in touch with the venue team who will be more than happy to help.

We can’t wait to see what amazing ideas come out of this first session. See you there!

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
