Information - Creative Connections

Are you a local creative looking to meet like-minded people in Ipswich? We have the perfect evening for you!

Whether you are an artist, a designer, a musician, or someone working in the local cultural sector, Creative Connections is your new monthly DIY get-together. It is all about bringing the town’s talented community together in an informal, relaxed setting.

What’s it all about?

The mission is simple: Come / Connect / Create.

This is a space to network, chat about your latest projects, and showcase your work. It’s a brilliant opportunity to find new collaborators or simply make some new friends who share your passion for culture. To make things even better, you can take full advantage of the venue’s Happy Hour while you mingle!

What to expect at the first session

Our very first session will be led by Marcus Harris-Noble from Brighten The Corners. He’ll be hosting an informal get-together to kick things off and get the conversation flowing.

If you have work you’d like to showcase at a future session or want to chat about your projects, the organisers are keen to hear from you! They even have a projector available if you need to show off your visual work—just reach out to the team to let them know you’re interested.

Stay for the music

The fun doesn’t have to stop at 7pm. You are invited to stay on at The Church for Vinyl Communion with Modern Athletics. They’ll be spinning a mix of electronic, house, garage, and bass to keep the energy going well into the evening.

Pride in Place

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
