Sound artist John Bowers gives a live performance at Christchurch Mansion responding to John Constable’s drawing View on the Orwell, Ipswich.
About the project
It’s part of Constable Ambisonic, for which sound artist Stuart Bowditch has been making 360º spatial audio recordings at the locations of 20 Constable paintings. Stereo versions of those recordings can be heard in the accompanying exhibition, The Hay Wain: Walking Constable’s Landscape, at the Mansion. The project is supported by the National Lottery through an Arts Council Project Grant.
