£6 per visitor. Four 45-minute sessions on the day, starting at 10.15am, 11.15am, 1pm and 2pm. Suitable for ages 5+; younger children may need adult assistance and under-16s must be accompanied by a parent or carer. All materials provided.
Information - Constable 250 Workshop: Felting Constable’s Cloud Studies
Spend 45 minutes at Christchurch Mansion making a felted scene inspired by John Constable’s cloud studies, as part of the Constable 250 programme.
What happens in the workshop
Artist Margaret Holder guides the group in looking closely at Constable’s artwork, then using felt to recreate areas of it through colour and texture. Everyone makes a 20cm square to take home, and all materials and guidance are provided.
Good to know
Tickets are £6 per visitor. There are four sessions on the day, starting at 10.15am, 11.15am, 1pm and 2pm, each running 45 minutes. It’s suitable for ages 5 and up – younger children may need a hand, and under-16s must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
