Information - Constable 250 Adult Poetry Workshop: The Art of Landscape
On Saturday 12th September from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM join local poet Sue Wallace-Shaddad for a poetry workshop on the theme of landscapes, inspired by the exhibition The Hay Wain: Walking Constable’s Landscape.
Constable’s landscapes reflect the times and place he lived in. You will discuss poems which conjure up different landscapes and write about landscapes you know or can imagine. These might be internal as well as external landscapes. Prompts for quick writing exercises will be provided, and you will have the opportunity (optional) to share your drafts with others.
This workshop is 3 hours long and includes a short break. Suitable for ages 18+.
