Information - Community Litter Pick

At Ipswich Wanderers, we are proud to be known as the ‘Club of the Community’ – and that means more than just what happens on the pitch. We believe in supporting and giving back to the neighbourhood around Humber Doucy Lane, where our stadium has been home for many years.

That’s why on Sunday 24th August from 12pm, our volunteers will be taking part in a Community Litter Pick – and we’d love you to join us.

A Club That Cares for Its Neighbours
As a community-focused club, we recognise the importance of keeping our local area clean and welcoming. By stepping outside the stadium and into the neighbourhood, we hope to make a real difference – not just for those who live locally, but for everyone who enjoys visiting the area.

It’s also a great opportunity for us to connect with our neighbours, to say hello, and to invite you to experience what Ipswich Wanderers is all about – a friendly, welcoming club where community spirit is at the heart of everything we do.

Everyone Welcome
We’d love as many people as possible to come along and lend a hand. Whether you’re a supporter, a neighbour, or someone simply looking to get involved in a positive community activity, your help would be very much appreciated.

Our volunteers will be leading the litter pick, and afterwards, everyone who joins in will be invited back to The GBS Stadium where food will be provided as a thank you to all our helpers.

A Message from the Chairman
“As a community club we recognise the importance of our local neighbourhood and with that in mind we are going out into the community to make a real difference. It also gives us the chance to invite our neighbours down to our Stadium to experience the enjoyment of local community football.”
– Patrick Lewis, Chairman
