Information - Colour Run for Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity

We are excited to announce our brand new event for 2024…..a Colour Run!

Our family-friendly fun run will be the most colourful event of the year by far. Kick off the festivities at the start line with a spectacular Colour Extravaganza, giving each participant the chance to throw their own pot of colour powder up into the air to rain down over everyone; your free white t-shirt being the perfect canvas to decorate.

Choose to run, walk or jog our 1k and 5K routes and be met by Colour Bandits along the way to cover you in brightly coloured powder at various intervals. As you cross the finish line in a rainbow of colour, you will receive a celebratory sustainable finisher’s medal and snacks.

Embrace all the colour of the day with your free white t-shirt and sunglasses which will be given to you at the start line. The run is for all the family so we use coloured powder which is child-safe and environmentally friendly. Furry family members will need to sit this one out as dogs are not permitted at this event.

We would love for your fundraising to support our Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity Fund which supports patients and staff when they need us most. Alternatively you can choose to fundraise for one of our current appeals: Cancer Wellbeing, Children’s Appeal, Staff Wellbeing or for the ward or department within our services closest to your heart. Just let us know your preference when you sign up.

Date: Saturday 28 September

Time: 10am start

Location: Chantry Park, Ipswich

Distance: 5km or 1km

Age: All ages welcome (under 5s go free and will receive a pair of sunglasses)
