Information - Blank Page – Clay character story pot workshop with Emma Jayne Robertson

Join ceramic artist Emma Jayne Robertson for this free creative workshop for 10-16 year olds at Chantry Library, as part of The Blank Page Project! Learn how to create your own ceramic pot based on your favourite fictional character or story.

Workshops take place from 9.45AM to 3.30PM and include a free lunch, drinks and snacks!

The day will begin by exploring ideas through drawing and designing before starting to work with the clay to bring their ideas to life. Participants will pinch, coil or form the clay into a pot shape and then make and attach details to the surface. They will then get the chance to carefully add colour to their creations with ceramic underglaze paints. The work will be taken back to the EJaRt Creative Studio where it will dry out and then be fired in our kilns with a clear gloss glaze on the surface. They will then be returned to the library venue to be collected. (Please note: This can take 4-6 weeks during busy periods).
